Accomplishments/ Activities: Several awards for activities (1998 and 2004), 500 000 assorted tree seedlings have been provided free of charge to schools, communities and even EU micro projects as windbreaks, erosion control and shades. EDYM cooperates with Bread for the World Germany ( for youth capacity building and training ) and peace crops (US-volunteer Service). Education on reproductive health.

The training center, EDYM village, is a 25 acres demonstration and training facility. (agro-forestry, nurseries, mushroom, snail and grasscutter production, organic farming and plantations. Being completed.

Impact/Result:

• We have been able to achieve a lot through the skills training workshops organized by Ecasard Network.
  
• Put the knowledge acquired in the IPM organic farming training into good use by successfully setting up a half (1/2) acre pepper farm with the compost we prepared.
   
• Most of the group member as well as some individuals’ farmers have been able to use the compost for their egg, okro, cabbage and other crop farm successfully.
  
• Members have also reaped benefits from the networking sharing of ideas and experiences.
  
• Various groups rotate to equip members with the processing skills.
  
• Financially committee members have had better skills in according, and they do keep trust of payment and also purchasing / selling the goods with ease.

Future plans:

• Try  to get more land for cassava and pepper as most landlords are only interested in plantations (cocoa, citrus and oil palm) at a fair price
• Produce more palm oil and start soap industry if grinding/ pressing machines could be purchased.
• Training programmes in tree conservation / maintenance as well as nursery pratice will soon be organized for both members and the associates farmers within the nazareth zone.
